This is a detailed guide for obtaining an E-License.
To obtain a driving license in Pakistan, you must follow these steps:
Step 1:
Obtain a Learner’s Permit E-License
Age Requirement:
You must be at least 16 years old to apply for a learner’s permit.
Required Documents:
- Picture of CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) Front/Back both sides. Size of each picture should be less than 250 Kb for the upload to be successful.
- Mobile Selfie or any picture in which your face is clear and is a front side of your face (Headshot). Again the Size of the file should be less than 250kb.
- Make sure that you have these pictures on your device before starting the process, it will help you move on with the application process faster.
Fill the forms:
- Add your information on the forms provided. Make sure that all the information is correct. Or you may have to face legal charges unless it is an honest mistake.
- Be sure to enter double check the information. It is important because it will be displayed on your E-License.
- While entering information make sure you give an active email address and a phone number. You will receive a Challan number (PSID) on the email and phone number.
- Select the vehicle type of license you want to apply for such as (Motorcycle, Car, etc).
Payment Method:
- Your fee for learners will automatically be calculated by the system upon submitting your application.
- After submitting your E-License application, you will receive a 17 digits Challan number (PSID No.) on your phone and email.
- Use that Challan number to make an online payment to Punjab Traffic Police going to payments and then to Challan.
- Use the 17 digit code received in email/phone number and paste it in the challan(PSID) column, and make payment.
- You can make payment via Online Bank Application (any bank), Easypaisa, Jazzcash, Upaisa. You can also make a payment in person to a vendor of Easypaisa/Jazzcash etc. or in any bank by just providing the PSID number.
Obtain your E-License:
- When you have made the payment you can log in to your account in which you actually applied for the E-License.
- In the first row of the data upfront you should be able to see all the applications and their payment status.
- Once you have the payment status as paid, you shall easily be able to download the PDF copy of your e-license.
- You may now have a printed copy from a local printing shop and have it laminated.
